Join Scuola Leonardo da Vinci’s free online IMAT Open Day now!

Studying Medicine in English in Italy allows your students to fulfil their dream of becoming a doctor in one of the highest-ranked universities while enjoying the charming and friendly atmosphere of Italy, as well as discovering a new culture and broadening their horizons. One of the first obstacles that an aspiring student encounters is the IMAT test, an admission test to get into Italian universities. Scuola Leonardo da Vinci is here to provide you with every information you need and more!

Scuola Leonardo da Vinci was one of the first private schools to organize a preparation course for IMAT back in 2014 and is now organizing a series of free online Open Days to delve into the IMAT, the enrolment procedures for Italian universities and the reasons why students should study Medicine in this beautiful country. The next Open Day will be on March 30th at 2.30pm (CET) – register now

Here is what’s on the agenda:

- How to register for IMAT 2022/2023 (procedures, deadlines and documents).

- How much does it cost to Study Medicine in Italy (tuition fees, scholarships and living costs).

- How hard it is to pass the IMAT exam: score stats and university ranking.

- How to prepare adequately for the IMAT exam (study materials and preparation courses). But what, in short, is the IMAT?

The IMAT will examine the students’ general and specific knowledge in a few scientific topics (biology,  chemistry, physics, and maths) and their problem solving and critical thinking skills. Only a minority of questions are purely knowledge-based, and they include primarily the biology section. In 2022, the IMAT will take place on September 13th. The exam lasts only 100 minutes and consists of 60 multiple-choice questions.

The applications online are going to open in July and it will be possible to apply in the first 3 weeks of July through the Universitaly website. Besides paying a subscription fee of €130, students will have to indicate the  International Medical School of first, second and third choice and IMAT test centre of choice.

Enrollment at the university in Italy is regulated by ministerial provisions, which establish different access procedures for EU or equivalent students and non-EU students residing abroad. However, a requirement which is valid for all universities in Italy, is to have 12 years of schooling.

To pass the test, serious and meticulous preparation is required and competition is fierce. Scuola Leonardo da Vinci’s preparation course aims at providing the students with a foundation of scientific and logical-critical skills for all students who want to take IMAT to enter the Faculty of Italian Medicine. According to our statistics, our preparation course increases the chance to pass the IMAT by 50%!
